Birthday Party

Five years old and three years old already! Hard to believe how fast time has gone by and how big they both are. To celebrate their big days, we had a combined party for them this year at Pump It Up.

I Could Slide All Night

Pump It Up is like this huge warehouse room full of inflatable things to play on. Lizzie's favorite: the huge slide. Yup, that's her daddy on the slide behind her.

Me, Too!

Maury likes the slide, too, but he also loves bouncing around in the inflated basketball court. One bad thing about a Pump It Up party...it's very hard to get pictures in the playroom. Good pictures, anyway.

Forget Pizza, There Are Balloons!

After a loooong time in the playroom, we moved to the party room to have pizza and cake. Maury didn't really care about any of that. What he wanted to do was to confiscate all of the balloons that were floating around the room.

Barbie Princess

Lizzie's cake was a Barbie Princess cake. It strikes me that now Barbie is honing in on the whole Princess phenomenon. Anyway, if you look close you can see that Lizzie's candle blowing technique needs some work and she had to have some help blowing out her candles.

Superman, Of Course

Maury is stuck on Superman...still...so we got him a Superman cake. Please note he is still holding on tight to the one balloon we wouldn't make him let go of.

Running Buddies

Maury and Dalton have been at daycare together since they were itty bitty babies. We don't live all that far from Dalton and his family, but definitely far enough that they won't be in Kindergarten together. That is one of the sad things about having the kids in daycare so far from home (and public school districts). Most of the kids won't go to public school with anyone they grew up with in daycare.

Lauren, Role Model

Maury had been acting up when we were trying to take this picture (see hand around neck). Lauren wasn't...UNTIL we snapped the picture. Everyone who was standing there knew her tongue was out in the picture, except the person who snapped the picture. That person thanked her for being so good (as in, thank you for behaving...unlike Maury). LOL.
