Spring 2003

Is there anything better than a beautiful spring morning, your family and a trip to the botanical gardens? Well, I think it is a little slice of heaven, so we ventured out on March 22 to enjoy the spring that was starting to be sprung.

Valentine Tea

A month earlier, my sweet neighbor, Martha, had a Valentine's Day Tea for a bunch of little girls. It was such a cute little affair with girl food and mommy food, too. Lizzie had a good time, especially after the cupcakes were presented!

Lollipop Lollipop

OOOOOOOO! Lollipops are great! A great big mess, I say, but Lizzie really likes them. And, as with everything she does, a little Lizzie dance accompanies the eating.

Bubbles

Bubble blowing outside is great fun. The kids really enjoy playing outside so we try to spend a little "driveway time" with them whenever we can. This automatic bubble blower is a big hit, especially since neither of the kids can blow a bubble with just a wand.

Paci Girl

Back to the gardens. Lizzie loves her paci, and, yes, because of that, practically all of my pictures of her have her paci in them, too. That's OK. That is what we see when we see her. We have time to get her off of it by the same time Maury gave his up. Until then, a pretty picture of a girl and her paci.

PB& Jelly!

Lizzie may be the most petite one in her class at daycare, but she doesn't miss out on an opportunity to eat. Here she is after really tearing into a peanut butter and, obviously, jelly sandwich.

Five Seconds with a Bow

Occasionally I do TRY to fix Lizzie's hair. Here is a miraculous...if not good... picture of her with her hair in a bow. It looks cute, but she isn't as concerned with how it looks as how it works. She pulls it out and wants it back on. Out. Back on. You get the idea.

Flowerface

This flower headband is really cute. Aunt Marcy gave it to Lizzie and here's the one picture I have of her wearing it. It's not that she doesn't like it. It's that Maury likes it more!

Rabbit Face Lizzie

Did I have kids to torment them with funny glasses? No. But it sure is a great diversion on an otherwise hectic Easter Sunday. These were so funny to me that I took them with us to church so that I could share the fun with people at the breakfast. Thanks, Aunt Marcy and Uncle Tom!

in memory of maury and lizzie's great grandma marion, who we are so very glad maury and lizzie got to know. we miss you, grandma.
