We're having a second baby! Maury is to become a big brother around 8/27/01. This is a picture from the first ultrasound at 8 weeks.

Twelve Weeks

This is the fast growing Peanut at 12 weeks. The baby is face down in this shot with the head on the left hand side of the picture. The baby has one leg pulled up next to the body (bottom side) and one leg sticking up toward the top. The baby is really stretched out in this shot!

Twelve Weeks #2

In this shot taken on my parent's wedding anniversary (February 13th), the baby is facing up. You can see an eye and what looks to me like menacing teeth in the mouth! Our next visit is on March 14th. We won't have an ultrasound at that visit, but at the NEXT visit we will. That is the big one. We will hopefully find out whether Maury will have a little sister or a little brother.

Sixteen Weeks

The sixteen week visit went well. I got to listen to the heartbeat for the first time...a little check in with the Peanut which was wonderful! The biggest thing (and no, not me!...I still haven't gained any weight although my waistline looks otherwise) is that we scheduled the big ultrasound for April 10th at 8:30 a.m.

We Have Movement!

At seventeen weeks, I unmistakably felt the baby move! Steve and I were lying in bed talking about baby names, in fact, when I started feeling the baby moving around. Steve was even able to feel it! This is about 3 weeks earlier than when I identified movement with Maury. I had been told I would feel this one sooner. What was funny is that I had thought maybe possibly I had felt something a couple of other times, but it was so faint, I just wasn't sure. This night, it was DEFINITELY the baby. It was so sudden and definite it made me laugh!
