A Month of Firsts Maury is now eating lunch and dinner at the dinner table instead of at his highchair. Some nights, however, when things start to go like this picture, the old highchair tray has to come out again. He gets those cute little tootsies up on the table and then it's just play time! |
I Drive This, Too...Right? Now that Maury is able to ride the riding type toys, he thinks that everything is supposed to work that way, I guess. Here he is ON his Elmo mower...like it is a riding toy. We really can't seem to get him to remember how this is really supposed to work, even though he did it right for months. He does still honk the horn when he is "driving" it. If you remember, I questioned why a lawn mower needed a horn, but he always liked it. Now that he is riding it like a car, it makes a bit more sense, I guess?!?! |
My Cable Guys You would never believe the complicated system we have for our TV now. We have a satellite dish, a VCR, a DVD player, and, after getting an Auburn game on pay-per-view, a cable box. Each of these have their own remotes AND we have a universal remote...which isn't! It's a mess. Here's Maury trying to help Daddy get the wires all rearranged after the Saturday of using the cable box for Auburn football so that we had the satellite hooked up for NFL Game Day on Sunday. I always said Steve could get sound to come out of a refrigerator if you gave him enough time and wiring. Good thing, because he needs all that skill now just to turn on the TV! |
A Pillow for Maury I decided that since Maury sleeps right up on the bumper pads in his crib, maybe he would like a pillow. Here he is... not sleeping on it! This is pretty much what he did with it for four or five nights, so we have taken it out again to try again later. I just couldn't resist taking a picture of him on this particular night. I am always amazed by his peaceful face when he is sleeping. He looks totally different than when he is awake. With his mouth shut tight, his cheeks are all chipmunk-like and he is just angelic! |
