Thanksgiving About a week before Thanksgiving, I finally (with Beth and Steve's help) put together the Cozy Coupe that Maury got for his birthday. My favorite feature is the personalized license plate on the back. I think Maury likes his new car, if he can just figure out how to go FORWARD instead of BACKWARD in it.
Read to Me, Nana Maury loves to be read to now. He will get a book and then hand it to you and do whatever it takes to get into your lap. (He prefers the easy way when you are already on the floor and he can just plop down on you.) Here he is having Nana read to him on Thanksgiving Day after we had dinner with her and the rest of Steve's family.
It's Kinda Cold for the Wagon Later on Thanksgiving, Maury went out with Papa and Aunt Beth to take a wagon ride. It was a short ride, though, as they watched his little nose turn red in the cool air. It was a beautiful day though, as you can see.
Mitch is in Town Mitch and his parents, Mike and Mary, were in town for the week of Thanksgiving, so on Friday we went to visit them. (They are who we visited on Maury's first real vacation over the summer.) Maury loved trying to keep up with Mitch, especially when it meant "playing" with the trains or "running" around the house. Mitch was having fun flopping forward on the chair right after each picture was taken, as you can see here.
Nice Shoes My mom (a.k.a. Grandma) took us on Saturday to get Maury some new shoes. Here they are on the little guy, as he is being tickled by Grandma. She got the cutest little boots for him. And, she also bought him an adorable pair of bucks for dress up times.
These are Cool! My parents have a pool table that my great grandfather built. Maury walked right in the house and picked up the eight ball and the nine ball on Saturday. On Sunday, he was still getting the eight ball everytime, but had switched to the one ball. But it, too, is yellow (just no stripe). I wonder if he is trying to tell us these are his favorite colors? Anyway, it was a nice, busy Thanksgiving, but it wasn't hectic and we got to see most of the family. It will be Christmas before we know it!
