Maury's Fun House

Now that Maury is getting around, he is in to all kinds of things. One of his favorite things to do is chase Izzy. Poor Izzy is simply befuddled by this little guy who always wants to put his nose right on his nose and who likes to grab his tail. The day Maury got up and walked with his lawn mower (see below), Izzy looked at me as if to say, "What is he doing NOW?" and then walked away in disgust.

Watching Baby Mozart

Maury has had these wonderful Baby Bach and Baby Mozart tapes for months, but never showed a real interest in watching them until just recently. He hears the voice say, "Welcome to Baby Mozart" and he stops what he's doing (usually getting into something that I'm tired of chasing him out of...hence the video went in the VCR) and he looks at me and grins. When the drumming bear comes on the screen he bounces up and down and gets in position to watch the rest of the video.

Napping HARD

With all this activity, Maury has become a much better napper. One weekend in late May, we found him like this in the middle of a nap. I guess he woke up, started to get up, and then thought the better of it. (Kind of like that morning I fell asleep as I was walking into the bathroom and went crashing into the shower stall...but I guess that's a whole different story.)

Walking With Elmo

Maury just got the hang of walking behind his Elmo lawn mower at the end of May. He will go back and forth across the living room floor as many times as we will turn him around so he can keep going. Our favorite part about this latest trick is that he will stop sometimes and lean over to honk the horn on the mower. I didn't know mowers needed horns, but apparently Maury agrees with the manufacturers on this little option.
