Big Boy Birthday For Maury's fourth birthday, he chose to have a Hot Wheels party. We got quite carried away with the theme and took instant photos of all the guests and made everyone a "pit pass" like the ones of Lizzie and Maury above. They each got to pick their own numbers and colors. Funniest thing is, almost every one of the kids picked the gender appropriate blue or pink. |
Jumpolene Maniac Steve had a great idea: buy Maury a jumpolene for his birthday and let the kids play in it at the party. But, guess who loved it most? Lizzie! She jumped and played and got in and out of the jumpolene until she was a wet, flushed (but happy!) little girl. |
Cake Time After about an hour of playing outside on their race cars (trikes, etc.), the kids came inside for cake and ice cream sandwiches, etc. Maury actually blew his candles out this year on his own. He kind of does some weird thing when he blows (I think you can tell that from this picture) so it's not easy for him to do! |
WOW! That is Fast! Maury got a couple of neat Hot Wheels sets for his birthday. Once some wonderfully loving family members got them set up for him, Maury was thrilled. These were definitely great gifts...ones that entertain him for more than the time it takes to assemble them! This is the happy birthday boy watching a car go really fast around the NASCAR track. |
PLAN AHEAd The pinata was a great idea...but I really should have taken some time to figure out where to hang it. Not that the kids cared that Steve was holding it up. And, can you believe, the LAST string was the one that opened the trap door? We got our money's worth out of that party activity! |
