A Month of Firsts

In September, Maury had lots of new things and learned lots of new tricks. Here he is in his first pair of blue jeans. The weather finally started to cool off a bit (only to get hot and sticky again), so I got to pull out the jeans we got as a gift a while back. Once again his waist is one size, but his legs are short. SO, we have cuffs in his jeans for now.

Touchdown AUBURN!

Maury is a real football fan, like his daddy. He loves to clap his hands whenever he hears cheering on TV or by us. And, if we say "Touchdown!" he will throw his arms up over his head like this. It is so much fun. Especially the clapping part. He can be walking across the room carrying something and if we clap, he drops whatever he has and starts clapping and grinning!

Big Boy PJ's

Maury has been sleeping in onesies for months now. He sleeps on his belly, so the pj's that snap up the front were never good for him...they always gave him little irritated spots on his tummy. So, once it got warm, he just started sleeping in onesies. Well, I decided it was time to let him have some real pj's. Isn't he adorable?

Ring Stacker

Maury has had this ring stacker for months. But, until recently, all he would do was take the rings off, never put them back on. Now he can put them back on all by himself. As you can see, he doesn't know what ORDER they go in, but it's a start!

All This New Stuff is Tiring

One Saturday when I was at work (yes, work...blech!), Steve called to tell me Maury had fallen asleep in his recliner watching Arthur. I guess he doesn't find the aardvark very entertaining. After he dozed off, Daddy couldn't resist picking him up and letting him snooze on his chest for a bit. We both really miss our little guy sleeping on us, I guess.

Wow! I Can See Where We're Going!

We finally got our car modified so that the tether strap for Maury's car seat could be used. So, he finally gets to look forward when he's in my car. I had to laugh at poor Steve's "fight" with the car seat, though. He decided to install it on his own to avoid a fight between us. I went downstairs at one point to check on him and he was in the kitchen reading a balled up set of car seat instructions. He says the installation wasn't the bad part...the instructions were!
