Christmas It's hard to believe that a year has gone by since last Christmas. Last year, our little man was so out of sorts. He had bronchiolitis and then an ear infection which made for one baby who was not in the Christmas spirit. This year, I think we're in for a handful...and not because he doesn't feel good! Look at this face! He's feeling fine and rarin' to go! |
Maury's Very Own Tree Last year, Maury's Great Grandma Marion bought him his own little tree. Last year and this, we put it right next to our big tree. It has all of his ornaments on it...Santas and Snoopys and all kinds of other fun things. Our big tree is full of angel ornaments because my mom gave my sister and I angel ornaments from our very first Christmas on. We had our own little tree like this...which grew into a bigger tree...and now I have a tree full of angels and they are only HALF of them since my sister and I split them up when we left home! |
I Saw Nana Kissing Santa Claus! Maury's Papa dressed up as Santa Claus one night in December and we took Maury down to see him. It was so funny because when Santa walked into the room, Maury looked up from the book he was "reading" but he didn't really react much. He just kept reading and occasionally looking at Santa out of the corner of his eyes. I suggested that maybe Nana should give Santa a kiss so Maury would know the old guy was alright, so she did. |
Papa Claus After watching Nana kiss Santa, Maury was a little more at ease with him and would sit in his lap and read. The child was like latched to his book as a safety blanket! What a cutie. (Mommy was never really sure what to think of Santa, either, Maury, so don't feel bad!) Oh, and can you tell that Maury's cheeks are rosier than St. Nick's? He has had this cold that has gotten his little cheeks all chapped and they were in rare form on this night! |
A Gift Already! Maury has already opened two gifts and it is just now the 10th of December. This is a picture of him opening the first gift, a See and Say from his online birthday buddy, Kyle. He loves it! His other gift so far was a neat little fire engine with two fire...well...fire animals (a dog and an elephant) that plays "Ten Little Firemen" from Isaac. That gets him dancing every time! |
