War Eagle

On September 1, Steve took Maury to his first Auburn football game while Lizzie and I stayed back at the home front (and went shopping with Nana and Aunt Beth). Here the men are in the stands. Steve and my mom had Maury all schooled on how to say "War Eagle" before he made this trip to Auburn.

Hee Haw

This is Maury before he and Steve left for the game. He gets on this rocking horse and rocks, saying "Hee Haw!" So funny. It's a change from saying "see saw", which is what he usually says on anything that rocks, but I'm not sure where he got it from.

With Gandma and Gandpa

Steve and I have season football tickets with my parents. Here is Maury with his "Gandma" and "Gandpa" (although he still mainly calls my dad Papa, just like he calls Steve's dad). Anyway, Maury made it through halftime and on his way out of the stands, he kept saying "I sorry" to everyone they had to walk in front of to get out. How polite!

Daddy's Favorite

After the game, Steve took Maury to his favorite place in Auburn, Guthrie's. Guthrie's serves one thing and one thing only...chicken fingers. I think Steve got 90% of his nutrients from here when he was in school. In fact, the day we consider our anniversary, we went to lunch at Guthrie's. I digress. On the way home from the game, Steve turned on the Alabama game and when he looked back at Maury, Maury had his hands over his ears! I guess he didn't want to listen to our cross state rivals!

The Family Man

Just sneaking in a picture of Steve with his KIDS. It still is weird to say that word in connection with our life! But, here he is with Maury and Lizzie, who is about 2 weeks old in this shot.

All Grown Up

Maury is so grown up looking to me now. This picture is real proof of that. Look at him in his khakis, his Tommy Hilfiger shirt and his lug soled shoes. I swear, I could have just died when I got him all dressed up for church and saw what a big boy he looked like! Sniff. We have been told he was a total doll in church, too, only speaking out when he saw his Nana enter the choir loft. Naturally, he shouted out to her! (By the way, I plan to get my act together enough this week to get myself and Lizzie to church. It will be her church debut!)

Um, Not Quite

Maury loves playing with his Mr. Potato Head, but he doesn't quite have the parts right usually. The poor spud has had arms coming out of his forehead and a tongue on the top of his head before. Here, it's just teeth over his eyes, that's all! Look how proud Maury is of his Frankenstein!

Cool Seat, Sis!

If you visited Lizzie's Land , you can see that Maury has tried out the activity mat that we got out for Lizzie recently. He did the same thing with her bouncy seat the day he came home and found it assembled! He just plopped right down and ate his "bwed" (bread) and watched TV from there like it was his very own place!
