Halloween

I can't believe it has been a year already since I took this same pose of Maury at my sister's. It's been quite a year!

High Cotton

I took off Friday the 26th of October to head up to my sister's early for her Halloween Bash weekend. This year, we were having a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad on Friday night and her usual blow out was on Saturday night. After we went to lunch upon arriving at my sister's house, we stopped on the road on the way back to her house to take a couple of quick pictures of Maury in front of an unharvested field of cotton. I'm glad we did. This turned out really cute.

Our Punkins

Friday afternoon, after pretty much everything was ready for the party, I got the chance to take some posed pictures of the kids. It's kind of hard to get a 2 year old to hold still and a 2 month old to smile at the same time. Here's about as close as I got.

Patriotic Parents

After a very successful surprise party on Friday, it was time for the big bash on Saturday. I ended up staying for the party with Lizzie, but neither of us dressed up or really attended the shin dig. Here are my parents appropriately dressed as the Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam.

Groucho and Harpo

My Uncle David and Aunt Cathy attended this year as Groucho and Harpo Marx. Dave sure likes to get Cathy to wear wild wigs to the party every year.

Have You Seen My Dog?

My brother-in-law, Cory, went as the Far Side cartoon character who lost his dog....right up his hind end. My cousin Clark observed one time during the night that there were a lot of duplicate costumes at the party. Two Lucy's, a few convicts, two Statue of Liberty's, etc. But, he said, there was only one guy with a dog up his butt!

The Party Animal

The next morning, everyone was dragging a little. Even Haley, my sister's dog, seemed to have a headache.
