Zonked Before the Brunch

You would think that this was a picture of Maury after the brunch, but it’s not. Maury fell asleep on the way to the brunch. Please note his “reinDEER” in his lap. Maury has lately been a real picture of attachment issues. One day he was walking around with his paci, his blanket and one or two of his “buddies”. Sigh. We really need to work on that paci thing again.

I Climbing

After he made it to the brunch, Maury had a blast. For once, he had plenty of wide open space to run around in and I bet he wasn’t being told “no” and “stop” as often as he is at home.

Maury and Britt

Here’s Maury with Britt, Steve’s boyhood friend, roommate from college and his sidekick for life. Maury really seems drawn to Britt even though Britt is weird (inside joke) and he doesn’t see him all that often.

Zonked Again

Now, here Maury is completely wiped out after the brunch. When Steve brought him in the house, Maury hadn’t even bothered to get his head laying flat on Steve’s shoulder. He was so tired he just had his chin on his shoulder and slept all the way to his room.

Cousin Lauren

That night, we had our Christmas get together with Steve’s dad’s family. We met at Kerrie and Scott’s beautiful new house and had a blast. Lauren and Maury are now old enough that they can sort of play together (still not really good at sharing) and they can communicate pretty well. Here’s a heartbreaker of a picture.

Nice Manners, Babes!

Maury and Lauren are also able to be mischievous together when they want. They had their own table to eat dinner at, and before we could turn around, Maury was sitting ON it and Lauren, while at least in her chair, was facing backwards. They were really funny all night.
