Punkin Patch So, it's Halloween time already again! On the weekend of October 20th, we took off for a punkin patch (just sounds cuter than pumpkin patch) with Maury. We left Lizzie with her Nana and Papa so that we could focus on just Maury for a little while. Here we are at the patch, after a TRAIN ride to get there. |
Train, Mommy! Maury has had a train set to play with for a few months. But, the night before we went to the punkin patch, Daddy bought Maury his first Thomas the Tank Engine video. Maury LOVED it! It was all about Percy, the one Thomas engine he has. The next morning he woke up saying, "I watch train, Mommy!" I told him that we would do better...we would go ride a train. So, here he is on the train with his engineer's hat and the Thomas book that his daddy bought him. (See the trend here?) |
AR Boy OK, so Maury has a little of me in him. We got to the punkin patch and he proceeded to pick up all the little pumpkins and line them up on the ground. (Sorry, no picture of that one exactly.) A little anal retentive. Pair that with the next day when he got up and lined his SHOES up in his room on the floor after he got up from his nap (all five pairs), and his daddy teases me mercifully. |
![]() All Aboard! After a quick stay at the pumpkin patch, it was time to load back up and head for the station. |
Do It! I'm not sure where he learned this, but I'm NOT taking credit for this, too. I look over at Maury one night at dinner and he is making this face. When he rolls his eyes back down, he just laughs and then says, "Do it, Mommy!" as he points at me. Of course, I comply and then point back at him and say, "Do it, Maury!" Which he does. You know. This could go on for hours. Two year olds! I finally caught it on film on our ride home from the punkin patch. |
![]() Big Train Back at the station, we all got to check out this huge old engine. This picture shows just how big this train engine was. The wheels on it were almost as tall as I am. |
Hi, Mommy! And, here is Maury peeking out from inside the engine. He even got to ring the bell! |
![]() Expensive Drums Maury's latest favorite toy: Lizzie's formula cans. Her very expensive formula cans. As well as coffee cans and anything else that is similar. But, he is good with them as he anally moves them one by one to the floor, plays a little tune on them, and moves them back. And repeat. Over. And over... |
Babaloo!!! When my mom was with us overnight before we went to my sister's for the big party weekend, she taught him how to add a little Ricky Ricardo to his usual drum act. We didn't know how appropriate this touch of I Love Lucy was until later that weekend. |
