Terri's First Mother's Day "...to have a child is to accept that your heart will forever walk about on the outside of your body."-K. Hadley For Mother's Day, Maury (i.e. my wonderful hubby) gave me a heart shaped locket with my initials engraved on the front and "I Love You" engraved on the back. He also gave me a silver picture frame with "May 14, 2000" engraved on it. This photo is the one I am going to put in that frame and treasure forever. |
Maury and Max We went to see Steve's sister, Beth, about a week before Mother's Day. Beth's baby is this beautiful black cat, Max. Max loves to sit in the doorway of Beth's kitchen and look out into the backyard. Apparently, Maury thought that was a pretty good idea, too. |
Aunt Beth This is Beth reading Maury one of her many children's books. Beth is a collector of Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein's works. I would have to say that during May, Maury finally seemed to be interested in listening to someone read to him. Before that, he just wanted to grab the book from you and eat it. |
Wagon Ride This picture was actually taken the day before Mother's Day. My dad wanted to take Maury on a wagon ride to go see the ducks at the pond in their subdivision. Maury looked so grown up when we put him in the wagon for the long stroll. |
