The Grandparents

One Sunday in August, Steve decided on the spur of the moment that we should make a surprise visit to my family. My mother was missing Maury terribly and really needed her "fix" of the little guy. Here she is...tormenting him by tickling him on his neck to get the big laugh. Grandma likes to call Maury "SUPER Boy" and his response is to reach both arms up over his head. Now, if we can just convert that to be a reaction to the words "Touchdown", too, I know Daddy will be very pleased.

Maury and His Grandpa

My dad (A.K.A. Grandpa) has a few things he likes to do when he gets time with Maury: take him on wagon rides around the neighborhood, read to him, and this trip he even played a little hide and seek with Maury. It has been said that Maury looks like any number of people in our family, but we think he has a strong resemblence to his grandpa...not baby pictures of my dad...my full grown dad!

Maury's Nana

On the Father's Day page, you can see Maury's Papa. Well, here is his Nana! As I looked through my pictures, I realized that Barbara is mysteriously missing from most pictures...just like when she was the mommy who was taking pictures of Steve and Beth. But, here is the most wonderful mother-in-law any girl could hope to have with her favorite grandson (OK, it's her only grandson...well, her only grandchild) on Labor Day! Great Grandma Marion

My grandmother (my dad's mother), lives with my parents now and I am so glad to have her closer than she was when we were little. Great Grandma Marion is pretty fond of Maury, as evidenced by her behavior when I sent her one year portraits. She requested six wallets so that she could send some to her friends. She thought she would get six of one pose but I wanted her to have some of all of the poses. That really put her in a bind and she said she was just stingy with them and kept a few more to herself than she was planning on!
