Whatcha Doin', Mommy?

As fate would have it, Maury was actually spending the night with his Nana and Papa when I went into labor at 12:40 a.m. on the 10th. That morning, he came up to the hospital to wait for his sister's arrival. (It was a long wait, unfortunately.) It was so good to see my little guy when he finally arrived!

Baby Crying

After Lizzie arrived, Steve took some video of her to the waiting room for everyone to see. Maury watched it pretty intently for awhile and even observed that "baby crying".

Meeting Lizzie

Maury was the first person to meet his baby sister. Steve brought him in while the baby nurse was cleaning her up and Maury watched her very quietly. He was totally intrigued by her from the start.

Here's the heartwarmer...Maury getting to hold his baby sister. I don't think I need to say anything more.

My Big Boy

Maury came up to visit us at the hospital on Sunday since we had to wait so long to be discharged. He had a ball playing in the room. Here he is playing peekaboo in my hospital bed. He also ate up the cookies from my lunch tray and played in the closet (with the bedpan of all things). When I saw him on Sunday, I suddenly realized how big my little guy really was. I have a whole different view of him and it makes me sad in a lot of ways to have had him grow up so quickly in my mind...all in a matter of days after the baby's arrival. I LOVE YOU, MAURY!!!!!!!!
