Maury's Sleepover I finally let Maury spend the night away from his daddy and I in February. Here we are in a group hug before he left the house. This is a family tradition of ours. About once a day or so, if Maury catches Steve and I hugging he first gives us this shy look and then he comes over and wants to be in the middle! We LOVE it! |
Let's Go! Maury's Nana and Papa came to pick Maury up and I think he knew something was up. When he saw me go get a video for him to take with him (after he realized that he wasn't going to get to watch one right then), he picked up a second video to put in his bag. Then, he picked up his juice cup and a diaper and headed for the door! |
Happy Meal Once he arrived at Nana and Papa's, Maury got a Happy Meal for dinner. Looks like he enjoyed it, just like every other kid in the world! This was his first Happy Meal, by the way. |
Bath Away From Home Maury loves bathtime! Here he is in Nana and Papa's huge bath playing in his latest favorite way: on his tummy! He discovered this just recently. Of course, it is harder to play like this when Daddy runs the tub because he always gives Maury a really deep bath! |
Morning Already? Now, here is our little guy waking up after his first sleepover. That is his lamb that he sleeps with every night that he is holding and his pacifier that he only has at night now. Each morning I tell him to put his lamb down and his paci down before I get him out of the crib and he always does! I have to say now that I really appreciate all the great pictures that my mother-in-law took of his sleepover. I really love all the shots I have of his first big night away! |
Brush Those Teeth This is an unrelated picture to the sleepover, but I wanted to show you Maury's latest part of bathtime...brushing his teeth. I found that if I give him his toothbrush it is easier to dry, lotion, diaper and dress him. He is usually completely content lying on the bed brushing his teeth (well, OK, chewing on his toothbrush). |
