The Gardens It was another chilly morning and Maury, Nana and I set out for the gardens. Not much was in bloom but the cherry trees sure were! We had a nice stroll through the gardens and headed home for naptime. Can't wait to go back when the rose garden is in bloom! |
Working with Grandpa In early March, I had to go to my hometown to work for a day. So, I took Maury along and he spent the day with my parents. Here he is "working" with his Grandpa. |
Sit & Spin I have to admit, when Maury's Aunt Beth gave him the Sit & Spin for Christmas I really thought this was way beyond him figuring out. WRONG! The little tike is actually pretty good with this and he especially likes the music it plays. (Can you believe the Sit & Spin makes music now?) |
A Test Drive I got a new car in early April. With baby #2 on the way, we needed something more practical than the Thunderbird. SO, we moved to the practical, four door Protege. Maury test drove the car for me the night I brought it home. Just like me, the first thing he tried to get adjusted was the radio! |
First Popsicle Although we haven't seen them yet, we feel certain Maury is working on cutting his two year molars. He just constantly has his hand(s) in his mouth. One night when he seemed particularly pained, we gave him his first popsicle. These are Great Whites. They are flavored but NOT COLORED (no staining!). He really enjoyed it. Look at his red-from-the-cold-mouth! |
Feeding Izzy Maury learned to "call" for his Daddy early in April. It is really cute. Well, when we went to visit my sister, he took to calling her dog, Haley, too. It sounded like "AAAAAEEEE!" and now Nikki and Cory are calling Haley that, too. We have a cat, Izzy, who Maury likes to call for now as well. Maury puts it in a cute context, though. He recently learned how to open the tin we keep Izzy's food in and he tries to feed Izzy. After he has put food in (or near or all around) the bowl, he turns and yells "DIZZZZZEEEE!" and points to the food bowl! |

A Cute Tale I don't have any pictures to go with this story, but it is too cute not to share here... One night, we were all at dinner and Maury was getting kind of upset as Steve and I ordered our meals. After we were finished, I ordered a grilled cheese for Maury. Maury knew right what was going on apparently because he stop fussing, leaned back in his highchair, smiled, turned to the waiter, and said, "Cheeeez!" This is the cutie we live with! (Aren't we lucky?) |
